"Security Simulation"

(Cont'd from "N/A")

Location: EARTH: SFA

Scene: Lt Xon's Office

Stardate: 2.71009.1125

Xon smiled at her daughter who, currently in England with her father and
grandmother, was gushing about the mountains and hills and how lovely it all
was, [[And I love you mummy.]]

The recently promoted senior instructor smiled at her small child, she
glanced up briefly as her door opened, "I love you too honey," she waved at
the screen, "but I have to go now, I'll see you soon."

Her daughter kissed the screen and then the smiling face disappeared from
the monitor to be replaced with the Starfleet insignia; Xon span her chair
to face the ex-marine who'd just entered. "Devon, it's a pleasure to meet
you."

The retired marine nodded and sat down he took in the office and then glared
at the younger woman in front of him, "I don't know why you're looking at me
like that, I could probably bench press you missy."

Xon just grinned at the older man, "I'm sure you could." She handed a PADD
over the desk, "we have a security major on our hands, do you think you can
handle this scenario?" she asked him.

Devon read the instructions briefly he scowled slightly and then stood up,
"I'll see if I can't borrow a uniform." He answered,

Xon managed to hide the giggle until the man was out of the room.

Scene: Holodeck 16 (Security department simulation)

TI: 1 hour later

Cadet Ti'Brus stepped through the holodeck doors and out of the academy and
into the middle of a bustling security department, people in grey uniforms
moved about their daily business.

Calmly looking around he spotted two figures, stood still talking quietly to
one another in the midst of what seemed to be a kind of organised chaos. He
took a few strides towards them and then saluted, "Cadet Ti'Brus reporting
for duty sirs."

Xon nodded and glanced at Devon, the ex-marine looked uncomfortable in
security grey as he played the chief of security. Currently she was wearing
the red of command and playing the part of ships XO.

"Good morning Cadet." Xon finally broke the moment of silence when she was
sure Devon wasn't going to, "welcome to your Advanced Command Training." She
gave him a brief smile and then with one hand indicated the room they were
in, "this is the security department of the USS ENDEAVOUR. You're taking on
the role of assistant security chief. General Koontz here is your security
chief." She indicated the older man next to her.

Devon Koontz nodded at the cadet. "Exactly, first thing I want to see from
any ACT graduate would be knowledge of the basics," he started ticking
things off on his fingers, "how the security department works, leadership
qualities, a knowledge of the equipment." He stopped when he saw the look on
Xon's face. "You're going to be in charge of the alpha team, they're all on
duty here." He indicated a few holographic security officers, "familiarise
yourself with them and the department, we'll begin the simulation shortly."

Ti'brus seemed to take all of this information in his stride he looked about
himself and then back at the two instructors. "Do you have a list of my team
then sir?" he asked.

Xon smiled a little. "I'll be in the ready room then." She told them both,
"Feel free to call if you need anything."

The two men watched as she headed through a side door out of the security
department and then Devon looked at the older man he had to run through his
paces. "I do." He agreed and then a small smile played across his lips. "I'm
sure you don't need me to hand it over to you though do you."

Ti'brus stared at him wondering if it was a trick question and then
shrugged, "no sir,"

NRPG: And there we have it an opening post.

Lewis you can post anything from your character arriving for ACT, spending
time on the academy to carrying on from where I left it.

Once you've posted either Tay or myself will post something kicking off the
action I just like to see if people can think of anything to write for their
departments before the excitement begins.

As always any questions you have me e-mail.
