* * * * * * * * * * * * * "Explanation" Con't from Rahul's "The Search For Zack" * * * * * * * * * * * * * Location: SFA Stardate: 2.71225.1237 Scene: Sevlock's Office Sevlock, glaring at the young man front of him, took a seat in his chair without saying a word. His expression was speaking for himself, he was waiting for an explanation. Brax herself was eager to hear what kind of justification was Zack about to fabricate. "Whenever you are ready, cadet." Sevlock raised his head slightly, looking at the young cadet. Kalana, who was standing next to him with her hands on her back turned her head slightly to look at him as well. Zack glanced at her before looking down at the floor and then finally at Sevlock. Kalana almost felt sorry for Zack at that moment but she knew better than to say anything. Instead she'd keep her cool, composed expression and wait for what he had to say. "Well, sir, I... have no explanation." Kalan just glanced at him again with a blank disinterested look in her eyes. "What do you mean you have no explanation? There must be a reason why you did what you did." Sevlock insisted, slightly annoyed by the whole Zack business. "Sir, I don't think Zack is taking this very seriously. In fact I don't think he is taking this Academy very seriously either. His behavior will confirm that." The girl was as tired and annoyed by Zack. "I agree, cadet, you don't seem to copperhead just how serious the situation is. I can understand that you are young, and most cadets do get into a sort of trouble every now and then but you have crossed the line and the worst part is that you don't seem to care." Zack just frowned, still looking at the ground. "It's just that…" He looked up at Kalana for a moment as if looking for the right words. "Perhaps cadet Matthews' reckless behavior is a rebellion against the Academy itself." The Cardassian woman concluded, Sevlock eyeing them both carefully. "Is that true, cadet?" Sevlock looked at Zack once again. The young man sighed. "I think so… see, it was all my parent's idea. They expected me to do something great with my life, being the oldest… you know… I am not sure I really belong here." Zack said nodding off slightly to himself. Brax blinked and looked at him. "Cadet, you should not be forced to go through training if that is not something that you wish to be doing. However, your grades are rather high and I would hate to see you leave just in order to defy your parents. You should consider what you wish to do with your life. Meanwhile, it might be wise for you to move to another dorm, in order to stay away from your old friends and stay out of trouble." Zack just nodded slightly. "I don't really know anyone other than those guys. I mean I know a lot of cadets but I am not friends with any of them." He glanced at Kalana again. "I beg to differ, you have Azra. If she is not a positive influence I don't know what is. Perhaps you should talk to her." Brax was referring to her roommate. "That is settled then, you have until the end of this semester to decide what you wish to do, but note that any further trouble from you will eventually result in you being expelled. As for your punishment, you will be in charge of cleaning up all the mess the snails made as well as helping us fix the damage they've done." The instructor got up from his chair and walked over to the two cadets. "As for you, Cadet Brax, you've done well and I think you are ready for the final stage of your ATC." The Cardassian nodded and smiled a little. She was looking forward to wrapping this up, especially after her missions ended up being so strange and unconventional. But she couldn't really complain, it has been a lot of fun and hopefully it would help Zack determine what he wanted to do with his life. ========= NRPG: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE ^__^ Ok, this was a short, boring post mostly in dialog, but what you gonna do.
