"To Tellesia IV" (Cont'd from "agent provocateur") Location: USS STARBLAZER Scene: Bridge Stardate: 2.70115.0959 Katlina Gorman settled down into the centre chair of the almost empty bridge of the USS STARBLAZER, she sighed and briefly wondered what it would be like to command a starship full time. Her attention flicked to the monitor embedded in the arm of her chair and she watched the pre-flight checks from the other departments scrolling across the small screen. “what do you think you’ll see that engineering and ops won’t?” Gene asked her XO settling into his designated chair. Kat looked up and smiled. “Last time I took a ship off the station it blew up.” She pointed out patiently. “how’s the family settled in?” Gene smiled. “It’s tight. Xana is worried about doing this without Tomas and the starblazer doesn’t exactly project the right image.” “It’d also be handy if we had the diplomatic abilities of Captain Picard to hand, however we don’t so we have to work with what we have, anyway she said this was just a getting to know you mission. It should be fine.” Gene grimaced slightly. “how was your check up?” Kat rolled her eyes, “fine I’m fine, babies fine Ely isn’t impressed that I’m pregnant and leaving her and the twins again but she’ll get over it in time and the twins are a bit young to understand about having a little brother or sister but we’ll work that out with them when we get back.” Gene grinned at his CO, “all I asked was how the check up went.” She scowled at him and then glanced up as Nick Cannon came onto the bridge and slipped into his seat in front of the flight control console. Kat glanced around and then looked at her armrest, all lights where green already she’d received reports from engineer, sickbay and the manned bridge consoles. “OK Mr Cannon let’s get our ambassador to Tellessia IV on time.” Nick nodded and then started speaking to the ops deck on the station while he ran through his own pre flight checks the docking clamps began to be released and the ship glided away from it’s bay on impulse power, once they where out of the no warp zone cannon entered the data into his console and seemlessly the compact space ship slipped from impulse into warp. Kat glanced around her Hannibal stood behind her one eye fixed firmly on his console one on space, she had a feeling he was still fuming about the Borg stealing someone off station from under their eyes. She knew she would be in his place, as it was she was glad it wasn’t a member of her staff. She glanced at Gene and smiled. “I’ll be in my ready room, or possibly my quarters, since they’re the same place I’m sure it won’t be too hard to find me.” Her XO laughed as she stood up and handed the bridge over to him and headed from the command centre of the USS STARBLAZER. **************** NRPG: OK i want this to be chilled out and i have no idea what's going to happen in this mission so anything goes.
