Scene: Gorman quarters
Stardate: 2.70614.1455
Kat looked helplessly at the distressed flight control officer. She was seven months pregnant and wobbling around like a useless blob and here was the chief flight control officer staring at her as if she could fix everything.
She heard a door start to open from the sleeping area and caught the babbling FCO her hands hit his chest and she pummelled him into the wall suddenly glad of the extra weight her pregnancy gave her. He paused briefly his eyes shining clearly at the sudden impact.
“I have children trying to sleep, you be quiet.”
He nodded once and watched as Kat bit her bottom lip, “security will be coming, we can tell them.”
“there is no time, he’s near and he will kill him.”
“Gene?” Kat asked quietly and watched as Nick nodded, his eyes already glazing looking off to the left Kat stared at him for a moment. “OK.”
His eyes brightened as he looked at her Kat moved to a cabinet, placing her palm on a panel next to it the door slid open, she gently placed her hand on a sword and then leaned down and picked up a phaser, she checked the setting on the top and then called out.
“dad, I’m going out keep an eye on the kids.” She turned her attention to the man in front of her. “alright then Nick, show me where.”

Scene: Corridor
They where in a none descript corridor, Nick was stood staring at a wall he had stopped repeatedly listening to some kind of internal argument Kat assumed, she was talking to Hannibal while the security chief tried to catch up with them she knew a medical team where on stand by. In her head a voice was telling her not to go, to get back home and calling her crazy, she wasn’t sure if it was her or Jeff.
“Nick?” saying his name made the man jump which made Kat jump, the small woman groaned, she wasn’t used to being frightened, she also wasn’t used to having a guide who was fast moving towards the crazy spectrum of mental health. He was staring at a Jefferies tube. “I can’t fit in there Nick.”
The FCO nodded then and headed off down the corridor. “we’re moving again.” Kat said softly.
{{Roger.}} the gruff voice acknowledged.
Suddenly they where in front of the door Nick stared at it and then back at Kat; The XO stared glumly at the door, her hand rested on her stomach she wondered if she could wait and then imagined if it was Jeff behind the door.
She popped the manual override and silently inputted her commands the door slid open, the small woman spotted a man standing and didn’t take anything else in, she levelled the phaser and let off a shot.

NRPG: So has our pregnant XO managed to rescue the counsellor, or did she just stun some poor random innocent at the insistence of the slightly insane pilot. I don’t know, you decide.
