“We owe you”
(Cont’d from “philosophy”)
Location: Borg Cube
Scene: Engineering -> Side room
Stardate: 2.70801.1515
Sisyphus was leading them through engineering and
pointing the odd thing out to the engineer and science
officer, Eishnala followed behind them quietly she
walked with Eilean who seemed annoyed at having let
the ambassador out of her sight.
Suddenly the Borg drone stopped his head twitched to
one side as though listening to something and he
turned, “in here.” He smiled as he opened a door, the
Starfleet officers and civilians followed him although
a little bit on the wary side, the door shut behind
them with a clang of finality. Both Eilean and
Eishnala turned and attacked the door. A screen next
to it came to life with a green glow and Sisyphus’s
face appeared.
[[Do not be alarmed, you are not prisoners.]]
“Great so let us out.” Eilean ordered.
[[Unfortunately I can not, this is for your own
safety, please find further schematics for the
transwarp drive on the table, make yourself
comfortable and hopefully this will not take long.]]

Scene: Corridor near to the Bridge
TI: Concurrently
Isis listened to Vukovic silently as she watched the
human and human/Bolian talking, after a moment she
walked up next to Katlina Gorman, Xana stepped away
while Isis began.
“When you arrived on the cube we did a full scan, you
appear to have a portion of the same DNA sequence as a
founder.”
Kat blinked and nodded, “So I’ve been told, it was an
assassination attempt that went a little wrong.”
“Apparently so.” Isis was quiet for a moment as though
she was thinking, “Where do your loyalties lie?”
Katlina spluttered over the question, “My loyalties
lie with my Captain, my crew and my family.” She
answered, “And if I had the choice I’d kill every last
member of the Dominion with my bare hands.”
Isis smiled slightly, “what about loyalty to your
ambassador?”
Katlina stopped and forced Xana to walk into the back
of her. “I include the ambassador both as my crew and
my family.” Kat answered,
Xana blinked feeling the pressure on her arm as Kat
grabbed hold of it, Xana grinned and waded into the
conversation, “So, the rest of our away team?”
Isis paused and turned around she was facing the
Ambassador and her colleague the XO of the GATEWAY was
trying to decide whether fighting of running was the
way to go and Isis dismissed her as far too
predictable. Everything hung in the balance of what
Xana was going to say next.
“We need your answer now Ambassador Bonviva.”
“Well, I need to speak to the other half of the away
team, to discuss if the technology you have shown us
is worth what you’re asking from us.”
Isis paused her arms crossed across her chest and she
smiled, it was decidedly disturbing and Katlina took a
step forwards, Isis smile widened, “You can’t fight an
entire Borg cube Commander Gorman so I’d take a step
backwards if I were you.”
Kat glanced at her friend who nodded slightly and
stepped backwards. “No ones coming to help you
Ambassador Bonviva.” Isis continued. “The SUTTNER you
tried to remind us of is busy elsewhere, the
federation has closed its eyes to your plight. We know
this as well as you do.”
Xana shrugged, “Not everyone has forgotten us, we have
friends who will come to our aid, and there are task
forces in the gamma quadrant other SUTTNER class
vessels.”
“None of whom are coming, or even answering hails, you
are alone, and we want to help.”
“Why?” Kat spoke up at last, “Why do you want to help
us, if we’re so alone you know anything we agree may
not even be accepted by Starfleet command.”
Isis blinked and nodded, “Because you made us who we
are, and for that we owe you.”

NRPG: Hmm, this didn’t turn out how I started it and
as such I’m not sure it’s done anything for the plot,
but ah well.
Sarah: the plan was to make Xana look a fool, not sure
it ended like that though lol.
