Continued from Shawn's "EYE OF THE STORM"

Scene: Promenade "Déja Vu "
Stardate: 2.80227.1105
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Déja Vu is a small and unpretentious shop filled with everything. Clothes
of varying sizes, styles, fabrics, and cuts line the walls. Racks upon racks
of used IMDs (Isolinear Musical Discs) sit in the center of the room, organized
by world of origin and genre. Holo-programs sit in a case below the desk,
and off in the back corner sit repaired and refurbished appliances.
On the desk is a catalog computer, where the jewelry and other more
valuable things can be browsed and asked for from the back room. No matter
what someone wants, it's very likely Amy Tsu has it, and will part with it at a
reasonable price.
Wangel Erek was shopping with his daughter. Erika loved to dress flamboyantly.
The seven year old came bouncing out of a dressing room wearing a Rhinestone
Tiara, a pink feather boa over yet another outrageous outfit when an announcement
came over the comm system.
[[ "Attention all hands, 13th fleet now arriving Andara Sector"]]
Erek smiled, the little boy and the scientist in him had an "itch" to go watch
the fleet. He leaned down to Erika's eye level and asked sweetly, "Want to
go watch the ships, Princess?"
Erika wasn't impressed. She just shrugged. "Nah, ships are boring. I wanna
go see the ANIMAL LIBRARY. They have new puppies."
Wangel Erek sighed patiently. Then, he nodded. "Ok, we can do that."
Erika beamed as her Daddy paid for yet another pretty outfit and then she
smiled up at him,
"When do you think Mommy's coming back?"
Wangel Erek gave her a confident look. "Soon, I'm sure."

Location: PROMENADE
Scene: Zel's cart
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The boys wore special harnesses over their shirts with a sensory
breast plate and each carried a very benign type of phaser toy.
Gavi hid behind Zel as LJ took aim and recited menacingly...
"So you circle all the wagons and you hide behind the trees,
And you try to find some courage on your knees...."
Holding up his hands in a gesture of surrender, Zel interrupted,
laughing "I'm not a tree. Don't shoot!!"
Gavi reached across Zel's lap with his toy phase pistol and tried to
take aim. The sensory plate on LJ's chest detected it as Gavi had fired
and missed. In responce, it made a low-pitched sour "Buzzing" sound.
LJ laughed and thumped his "Aha!! When you heard the sound of taps
played by the one man band, you knew this is where you'd have to make
your last stand."
Zel saw the disappointed look on Gavi's face and asked, "Can I try?"
Gavi handed over the pistol and LJ began taunting the hybrid salesman,
dancing back and forth a bit. Zel twirled the pistol with surprising ease
and promptly shot LJ straight in the chest. A higher pitch sound emitted
from LJ's sensor plate and he toppled over backwards, play-acting a
death scene.
Then, the small public terminal on the wall by Zel's cart lit up and a fedcom
logo appeared.
{{ "Coming to you direct from the residence of the ANDARAN prime
minister, this is Clooney St. George..." }}
The boys argued and Zel gently shushed them, "Boys, please...."
A hush fell over Gavi and LJ and they stepped up behind the little hybrid
saleseman to hear the news report.
{{ "You wanted to make a statement, Ambassador Vertec. " }} Clooney began.
The reporter's face was pale and he looked shaken.
{{ " Indeed, Mr. St. George." }} the vorta woman coo'ed at him sweetly.
Clooney looked nauseaus. Struggling to sound professional, he asked,
{{ "Was I summoned here so you could address what has happened to
the Prime minister and the Commanding officer of GATEWAY station?" }}
{{ " Yes, it is a sad day, indeed." }} began the Vorta. {{ "We were horrified
to discover the treachery of Blithis and the woman from Starfleet, openly and
shamelessly holding discussions in violation of our treaty and we have dealt
with them accordingly. }}
Clooney's face twitched as she spoke. He knew somewhere on GATEWAY
Daisy's children were most likely watching this and it made him ashamed.
Once again, though - they held the welfare of his beloved sister over his head
and gave him no choice.
The Vorta "Ambassador" went on for a few more minutes, spewing venom
about the audacity of Starfleet. Then, finally....Clooney jumped to his feet
and cried out with disgust,
{{ "Oh, stop it! Where are they?!" }}
Zel pulled Gavi back and said, "I don't think you should watch this."
The little boy looked up at him, "But, they mentioned my Mom. Something
happened to my Mom!"
Jem Hadar guards pulled their weapons on the reporter as LJ continued to
watch. {{ "I only hope Lynda can forgive me for what I've done, how I
sabotaged the efforts of the crew on GATEWAY and how I've helped you
hurt the people here." }} Clooney replied, his voice thick with emotion.
"I'm sure I don't know what you mean." Vertec smiled sweetly.
Then, Clooney asked again. {{ "Where are they? " }}
LJ stood there, frozen. Zel pulled Gavi behind the cart so he couldn't see.
Others were watching, though - as the Vorta bragged that Daisy and Blithis
went where all who are guilty of crimes against the Dominion go. They were
already on their way to one of the labor camps.
Vertec laughed with a sickening sweetness. {{ "They thought to come
to this planet and undermine us on Dominion soil? We aren't going to stand for
that." }}
LJ dropped to his knees, the wind knocked out of him. A hush fell over the
promenade as others heard the same broadcast.
People were too busy talking to each other and gossiping about "what does
this mean?" to hear a 15 year old boy breathlessly muttering,
" Mom? I'd fall down on my knees, kiss the ground that you walk on,
If I could just hold you again.."
Clooney pulled a phaser from his pocket. He got off one shot, hitting Vertec
square in the chest. She fell to the ground dying, knowing another one of
her clones would replace her, and the Jem Hadar opened fire on the reporter.
Clooney St. George dropped to the floor not far away from the Vorta woman,
dead.
The boys heard a scream coming from the Animal library. Zel looked and
saw Wangel Erek step out, carrying Erika in his arms. She was crying for
her mother.

Yes, Daisy is off to a labor camp for a while. Drake, too. I'll still be here writing - but I'm giving Katrina and Ranjani a taste of having their characters in command duties.
Peter - our characters were taken seperately. How and when will they bump into each other? So - TAG!! :)
