Hunter was watching the daily FNS broadcast from his desk. He'd put aside Major
Towers' request for transfer for the time being before he could write up a
formal response. He didn’t intend to allow the Major to transfer just yet, and
had to develop a reasonable argument as to why.

{{Our records show, that you are nearing 90 years of age. However you sit
before me looking no older than mid to late thirties, human years of course.
Would you care to give a little bit of information on this?}}
{{Pnarrans are a long lived species. Our average life span is anywhere from 175
to 250. However we have had a few honored elders reach the 3rd century mark
before they crossed beyond.}}
{{300 years old, that’s a long time to live.}}
{{Yes, and I don’t plan on being one of them.}}
{{Now as for your assignment here, what would you consider to be your most
challenging aspect of taking this command?}}
{{I've commanded regiments before, however this is the first that I've
commanded that was stationed aboard a Starbase. The presence of Naval and
civilians makes for a unique set of challenges, and the Availability of an
abundance of not so professionally focused recreational facilities on a
frontier Starbase makes for some interesting situations. Marines here often
find themselves involved in conflicts and incidents not of their own creations.
It's not something I've had to deal with much prior to this assignment.}}
{{You mentioned the presence of Naval personnel creating challenges, could you
elaborate on this?}}
{{Well its difficult to find yourself all of a sudden taking orders from
someone 3 Ranks below you, and hasn’t got a clue as to anything Military. But
so far there haven’t been any problems on the Naval side.}}
{{Have your soldiers been resentful over the reassignment of Major Towers?}}
{{Only a few. Those few were the ones that saw my appointment as a threat to
their powerbase. Most have seen the errors of their ways, and are currently
making amends to those they harmed, and others have been discharged from the
service. The corps has no room for power hungry bullies.}}
{{As you may have heard from other sources, there's currently a theory of the
marines, and members of gateway's Command staff suffering from what is being
called Dominion War Syndrome. Do you have any comments regarding this?}}
{{Well its complete bullshit. I have yet to see one licensed medical or mental
healer come to me with this information. I know the military sometimes is slow
on the uptake of conditions that occur in Combat, but Starfleet has always been
one to assist its veterans through whatever troubles they might have. Frankly I
think its all made up, and unless someone comes to see me with evidence to the
contrary, I have to go with that conclusion.}}
{{Have you seen any of the Marines acting strangely since your arrival?}}
{{Other than being raw and green, no. Most of the problems I am dealing with
now have to do with them being inexperienced. Most of these boys and girls are
still in their teens or early twenties. They still miss their mommas, it will
take time to get them developed into a fighting force to be reckoned with.}}

The screen changed from the interview with himself and flipped to the same
reporter on the Promenade later on during the day.
{{Just a few minutes ago, we were 'treated' by an exclusive footage report from
our friends at FedCom. Let us replay that footage for you now.}} The screen
replayed the scene of Daisy decking the Reporter. Hunter looked on and agreed
that she had a mean right cross, but needed more training on how to strike
without injuring herself. He thought it was a shame she couldn’t partially
transform her hand into her cat form and scratch the shit out of the reporter.
{{This was aired roughly 2 hours ago by FedCom, obviously shocking footage.
However, in our bid to show the people of the Federation an unaltered view of
events, we too were able to procure footage of the same incident, this footage
happened to be taken directly from the Security recorders, under the freedom of
information act. All timestamps and authentication labels were left in place,
and our own editors were able to verify the footage was unaltered in any ay by
Starfleet or anyone else.}}
The screen again replayed the incident, however this report included the
incident of the reporters assault on the Starfleet Officer, as well as several
minutes of his hounding the officers as they walked.
{{We at FNS are appalled at a person of the media, someone who is supposed to
report the facts as they are not as they see them would use such tactics in
their reporting. We also want to include that this reporter is being detained
pending charges, while Commander Davidson, having specific medical needs has
been restricted to sickbay. We will keep everyone apprised with the ongoing
