These are a number of large rooms that are designed
for the sole use of Stellarr Cartography and Astrogation.
The largest of these is the main Stellar Cartography
Lab.

You walk through the door and along a slender bridge
like walkway, to the main console which is suspended
in the centre of the room, which is two stories high.

The room is usually just plain black walls, floor and
ceilings, but when someone walks through the door it
automatically activates the holographic display.

The usual opening display is that of the ANDARAN
system with the GATEWAY STATION in the centre of the
room, floating just in front and slightly above the
main console.

The display can quickly be adjusted to show any of the
different systems that the Ships that use the GATEWAY
as their base download into the computer systems.

The Main Stellar Cartography Lab can also be split into
two, so that one side can show you the ANDARAN system
and the other side can show you another system, or
another point of view.

This was where Daisy would have sent Thomas if he
hadn't been injured and this was where she, herself,
sought a much-needed change of scenery from Ops.
Content that Thomas had the best of care,  she had a
bounce in her step as she took over the room and ordered
all but those with the highest level of security clearance
to leave.

The same question came from one person after another.

"And, go where, Commander?"

She blinked and then waved,  "I don't care.  Just not HERE"

Other questions came at her over the Comm system, the
conversations were somewhat annoying - like listening to
Gavi and Erika whining about not being able to find their
socks or their favorite toys.  She groaned and ordered people
to either "Stand by" or  go talk to Captain Spankryz in Ops as
she began making adjustments to equipment.

Nervously, she talked to herself about things she remembered
Peter Aspinall doing back on the USS PROPHECY,  the methods
and techniques he used for penetrating subspace and seperating
quantum tachions.

What few people remained gave her strange looks as she
chided herself in a hushed whisper that she should have listened
more instead of ignoring Peter's stories about his work and just
looking for more reasons to get him to take his shirt off.     Then,
she began to remember more and started talking in some of
the shorthand science and engineering officers use amongst
themselves mixed with hand gestures to indicate the shapes of
glowing lights and the consoles involved in the kinds of tests
she was wanting.

"Right - we need to change the...."

" Ahem...ok..."

"And then use some of the ....oh, god....it starts with an L and
it can ignite the...."

"Come again?!"

Finally, Daisy scoffed and tapped her comm badge.

"Drake, report to stellar cartography"

Two voices responded,  [[  "Aye, Commander." ]]

Though he would never have publically disagreed with Daisy over
the comm system,  only one Drake appeared in Stellar Cartography
a few moments later and he quietly complained to Daisy that he
needed to monitor both Ihcalam and the investigation of the
holodeck incident.   She waved him off and began trying once again
to explain what she remembered of spatial anomaly analysis
techniques used by Peter when they were back on the USS
PROPHECY.

The half El-aurian grinned.  "Like you, whenever he spoke, I usually
just imagined him naked.  It's annoying when smart boys are that
hot, isn't it?"

Daisy slapped him on the shoulder and demanded,  "Drake, I'm
trying to be serious here."

Finally, he rolled his eyes and groaned.  "Honestly, I'm adding
'Daisy translator' to my resume...."

She slapped him again and he laughed before giving the correct
orders that she'd been trying to explain and staying to watch the
sensor readings change on the screen.    It took only a moment
before the sillouette of the SHIV was lit up for the fighter squadron
to see.

Anaqueen's voice came over the comm system as they watched the
fighters surround the SHIV.

[[ "Very nice, Commander Davidson.  I think you
can return to Ops now.  I do have a ship of my own
to command.".]]

Not really wanting to go back to Ops,  Daisy gave only a vague reply,
"Yes, of course...I'll be there, soon...."

A growl of irritation could be heard in Anaqueen's voice as she called
Security,

[[ Please escort Commander Davidson from Stellar Cartography back
to Ops. ]]

Drake started sniggering and Daisy gave him another slap before
saying,   "I'm going back to work now, hon..."

NRPG:

Ok, here's the deal.  I found the SHIV.  It's up to you guys to decide if we capture
them or if they get away and we take the COMMENDATION,  the CHANTICO and
some fighters after them.

Either way - I'm sick.  My surgery has had to be postponed while I take antibiotics
and steroids because the problem areas are badly infected.   I'll be taking it easy
this week - hoping to be able to make it to my daughter's graduation in six days.

So - I'm hoping this posts give you all a good laugh and something for all of you to do.

Taylor - will Hunter and Ihcalam go ahead with their duel now that the SHIV has been
exposed?

And remember - if Ihcalam gets his hands on the SHIV before we do - we won't get to
meet our mirror versions of ourselves.  LOL

Millions of possibilities to explore.  Have fun.
