Thomas’ body had become weak and limp from Daisy’s favorite technique, that the lovely yet demented medical doctor Kate had been running. His mind was fighting anything and everything that had been injected into him. The unique and unusual chemistry in his mind was something that had given the alternate Kate problems. True she had worked with her Thomas but thanks to his loving and protective Eishnala, Kate never had the chance to “play”.
“You are truly a wonder to behold my good Mr. Varn,” Kate stated as she walked over and lifted Thomas’ head.
Shifting his gaze to look her squarely in the eyes, Thomas took in a slow and painful breath before speaking, “Lieutenant Varn.”
Kate slowly began to shake her head lightly while moving away allowing Thomas’ head to fall against his chest, “Your lack of cooperation is intriguing and frustrating.”
By now Thomas’ “lack of cooperation” with information had become a Thorn in Daisy’s side and an endangerment to Kate’s life. Kate dared not to report anything to Daisy until the last moment but still with the lack of information the pirate captain would most likely be annoyed. It was to the good fortune of Kate that Daisy was playing with her new and large Nausican toy and did not wish to be bothered with trivial matters.
Scene: Medical Bay à Holding Cells
Time Index: Two Hours Later
After a couple more hours of two word responses from Thomas, Kate had become tired and aggravated, “Take him to the holding cells. Maybe a stay there with those creatures will loosen his tongue.”
Picking Thomas up carelessly the two guards that had been assigned to Kate let Thomas’ wings go freely. The thought of using his wings to attempt escape had crossed Thomas’ mind, until he realized his entire body was practically numb from the drugs. Barely able to hold his head up Thomas began trying to memorize his surroundings. One by one, door by door he counted and listened to any words spoken by the guards, before being thrown onto the cold floor of a holding cell.
Location: GATEWAY STATION
Scene: Sickbay à Alternate Thomas’ Mind
Time Index: Congruent with Beginning
The room that Thomas had been placed in was solitary and sealed partially by force fields. This alternate version of the chief science officer had been placed under sedation due to the extreme pain caused by the burn over his body. The drug combination that was being used was extremely potent, almost deadly to most species of humanoids. Fortunately for this Thomas he was in the most advanced Federation medical unit in the sector, and they would do all they could to help him.
Many people especially Cade would probably love to be given the chance to take a walk in the normal Thomas’ mind, but not even those from this altnernate universe would expect to find what was developing.
At first there was nothing around him, just blackness of a void. There was no sound or movement only Thomas’ consciousness and the knowledge that he existed. To best describe the sensation it was like a moment before, before the haze of safety disappeared and your thrust into the world with its dangers. Slowly but surely the blackness began to change into a gray haze, as if his eyes were focusing for the first time.
As the scene slowly became clear it was as if Thomas himself had stepped back in time. He found himself in a place that at one time he called home and brought great joy. It was here that he found his first love and made a name for himself. Slowly he turned and watched the gray room of his old lab come to life.
“Thomas why are you just standing there like this day isn’t anything? I know that the victory wasn’t total, but for the first time we are truly free and this science outpost shows it,” a kind older voice of a brilliant Cade Foster stated while he placed a hand on the young officers shoulders..
Nodding once Thomas stepped forward and joined the celebration that was taking place. He and Cade had been together ever since they escaped from the Empire’s medical and experimental research facility. Fortunatly for Thomas, Cade was one of the civilian physicians that had been assigned to his case, and the one that rebuilt his mind.
The relationship that Cade and Thomas had developed with one another could be seen much like a father and son. Many say that after Thomas’ voluntary alteration, his mind was lost and the tendency to imprint on the first person he saw took over, making it easier for Cade to turn him into a resistance fighter. It was also thanks to Cade that Thomas was never ashamed of his wings, and met his first love and wife Sylvia. However, with each great victory there is someone who has lost and it was the unfortunate circumstance that Daisy fit that bill.

Scene: Holding Cells
Time Index: One Hour Later
Thomas sat in his cell with his legs folded meditating to himself, or so he wanted everyone to think. The others that were around him did little to nothing to speak to him, but he could feel the gaze of one person in particular. The cells themselves were dimly light but he knew that someone or something was watching him, but the darkness was stopping him from seeing who or what it is.
Although he could feel the fear in the air from whomever was there he said nothing. The doors to the room slowly opened and a figure walked into the room. This person wasn’t like the others, and something about them seem some what familiar. As the cell next to him opened and a plate was placed inside a whisper could be heard before the figure left the cell and closed the door. Turning to Thomas cell the figure walked up before dropping the plate to the ground.
Finger slowly twisted around the bars before pulling the hidden figures body closer. Wide eyed the figure pulls in shaking that could be heard in her voice, “T…Thomas is that you?”
Thomas slowly opens his right eye letting it focus to his surroundings before saying softly, “Do you know me?”
As the door opens a blur of clothing and hair rushes into the cell before Thomas finds himself falling backwards in a hug almost like a death grip. Looking around a bit bewildered Thomas doesn’t quite understand what’s going on. Pushing the woman back slightly he looks into her eyes.
“Sylvia is that you,” Thomas voice asks softly confused now as he knows that she was left on the STONEHENGE.
Scene: SHIV Bridge
Standing there looking around at the crew on the bridge Daisy couldn’t help but feel a since of dejavu. Nothing that Thomas was saying had made since until now, and the fact that he had no clue what was going on made this so much sweeter. As the image of her that stood before her looked so prim and proper, Daisy could feel the food in her stomach begin to churn.
[[Birdboy, what exactly is going on here? How did you survive?]] A very angry and confused Commander Byrne asked over the communications channel.
“You have no clue do you? None of you do, this is all too wonderful, and that tractor beam quite impressive,” Daisy stated slowly sitting down in her chair motioning for an officer to get them free.
[[You, must understand that I thought all my clones were destroyed, and never did I think that there would be others,]] Daisy on GATEWAY stated calming herself.
“Clone? Ha, I am no clone I am the original article, but there is something going on here, and I do apologize but we must be going. It was nice to see me again,” Daisy said winking at the other.
[[You are not going anywhere]]
“Oh, I do believe we are as one of you may notice by now there is a feedback surge in your tractor beam destabilizing it, and in three, two, one,” she said holing up her fingers before the SHIV shakes softly becoming free from the tractor.
“Their weapons did damage to our weapons but luckily only minor to the engines,” the navigational officer stated.
Daisy smiled, “Get us out of here and cut her off.”
The SHIV quickly turned and moved away knowing the fighters would be on their tails. Quickly reacting they plot a course for somewhere in their galaxy that may be useful and engage at warp. Unfortunately for the crew of SHIV this area was heavily patrolled by the Dominion and a skirmish just brought in two ships.
Location: Lantar Nebula
Scene: Bridge of the SHIV
Time Index: One Hour Later
As the small vessel dropped out of warp the replacement science officer quickly alerted Daisy with disturbing news, “Captain there are two rather large vessels out there moving along a debris field.”
“On screen,” Daisy stated before standing at the sight of Dominion vessels, “those vessels seem familiar but we whipped that pathetic Utopian race and government out of existence in our galaxy.”
“Captain, scans indicate their vessels are quite capable of destroying us with in a few weapon strikes,” a voice says shakely, “might I suggest we enter the nearby nebula field to mask our signature until the move on.”
Nodding once Daisy sat back down before the SHIV and her crew made their way into a nearby nebula. Little did they know the Dominion ships would not be leaving anytime soon and a saucer section of a Federation ship was in wait there.
Scene: Medical Bay
By now Thomas was beginning to piece together what had happened to him after speaking with Sylvia. After the explanation of her story of how she thought she lost him the day the lab was attacked he couldn’t help but play along. For now Kate had study his scan and was ready to try one last experiment, but this was not to get information purely to see what would happen.
“Now Mr. Varn, oh excuse me Lieutenant Varn, I would like to introduce you to a wonderful pill that I have fallen in love with and so has the Captain,” Kate said turning the red heart shaped pill in her hand.
Thomas’ eyes narrowed as he was not familiar with the pill by appearance but would find he knew it by name. Slowly Kate walked over to him and held the pill between her fingers before with the aid of his guards force it down his throat. After his eyes stopped watering Thomas looked at the woman with disgust.
“Now now, that is no way to treat someone who has just made you have more of what you already have. The Venus drug Mr. Varn is a wonderful thing,” Kate stated as she stepped back and waited.
Now Kate new that with the Venus drug women became more beautiful and desirable, but men became more muscular and aggressive. Normally with a normal human this would be ok, but with Thomas already having adrenaline pumping in his system and his muscles augmented to be stronger than normal humans would become something of a security threat.
Clenching his fists Thomas pulled at his chains with all his might breaking a weak link sending the chain flying around a guard’s neck. Tightening the chain Thomas’ eyes flared red as he could hear the man’s neck snapping. Using the lifeless body as a shield to absorb several shots from the other guard Thomas waited until he was near the door before tossing the dead guards body into the arms of the other.
NRPG : Ok, sorry it took me so long to get this out, and I know this isn’t really that good or worth the wait for, but it gives us something to work with. Alright to recap, Thomas has been given a drug that makes men more aggressive and more muscular, yes it will wear off, but for now he is pretty much a walking talking Nausican that is mad. The SHIV has gotten away and is now in the same nebula as the Federation ship hiding from the Dominion patrols. Thirdly, the SHIV did not mask their warp trail so, guess what….ACTION TIME FOR THE CHANTICO AND COMMENDATION. Ran, and anyone else I wanted to give you the opportunity to destroy some Dominion vessels just to remind us we are still in a war. Fourthly, I’m hoping this will give us an chance to meet the alternates face to face.
