LJ sipped his apple fizz as Gavi babbled on about what a great time
he had with both Cade Fosters when his teacher dropped him by sickbay
for a routine check-up.

"Cade said he's designing me a holodeck program where I can do
target practice. He wants me to try throwing voltage at trees
and rocks. He said regularly getting the biolectricity out of
my system will help prevent future accidents."

Picking at the vegetables that Daisy had insisted on serving
with their cheeseburgers, LJ sniggered to himself. He was
thinking of a masturbation joke - describing other biological
types of "Release" that are good for your health but his speech
pattern prevented him from elaborating. He could talk in
lyrics - but sometimes there just wasn't the right lyric for what
he wanted to say. He could write on a Comm padd but Daisy
hoped he'd start using more of his own words and asked him
not to bring the Comm padd to the dinner table.

"What did you think of the other Dr. Foster?" Daisy
asked Gavirosh.

"I couldn't tell the difference between them at first." Gavi laughed.
"Then, when they kept talking, it got easier. The other Cade, he's
not quite as much of a smartass."

"Gavi!" Daisy chuckled. "Language, please."

"That's how the nurses talked about him." Gavi blinked
innocently. Then, he changed the subject. "Can you tell
the difference between them, Mom?"

Daisy nibbled on some broccoli and then paused. "Well,
not always....and I think Cade likes tricking me too much. "

"Is the other one going to stay? Does that mean
you're going to date them both?" Gavi asked.

Daisy nearly choked on her broccoli and started to
laugh. Then, LJ began sniggering, "Bow chicka Bow-wow."

The younger boy just looked at them both. "What?"

Daisy teasingly picked up a second piece of broccoli,
tossed it across the table and bounced it off of LJ's
forehead. Then, she grinned at him, "Stop it."

His jaw dropped open and he scoffed. Then, he smiled
as he picked up a piece of carrot and tossed it at Daisy.
It landed in her hair.

Though Erika was on Bajor with her father, Gavi, LJ
and Daisy made a loving family in and of themselves.
Gavi quickly picked up a handful of veggies and began
tossing them at his Mom and older brother.

The three of them were shrieking and laughing with no
regard to the mess they were making when suddenly -
there was a crash of thunder and the Dark Lord
reappeared.

Alarm klaxons blared through the corridor, indicating an
intrudor in the Commander's quarters. The muffled sound
of raised voices outside the door indicated people were
already trying to get in to make sure Daisy and the kids
were ok.

LJ stood up and ran for the door. Daisy yelled at LJ,
"Son, no!" while lunging to put herself between Ichalam
and Gavi.

With a wave of his arm, Ichalam sent LJ flying the
opposite direction. The teenager crashed against the
wall with enough force to shatter his collar bone and
fracture his shoulder.

"What are you doing here?" Daisy demanded. "I thought
you took the ones you wanted."

"I've decided your adopted son intrigues me." the
Dark Lord announced with his usual melodrama.

Daisy stood with Gavi behind her. "Get away from my
children."

"On your knees, woman." Ichalam demanded. "I am giving
young Gavirosh a great honor."

Gavi nervously wimpered. "Mom?"

Daisy defiantly stepped forward until Ichalam held out
his hand and made a grasping gesture. Daisy's throat
tightened as Ichalam constricted the flow of her hair.

LJ screamed and struggled to push himself across the floor
towards Daisy and Gavi began yelling,

"Stop - whatever you want, I'll do it."

Daisy's feet lifted off the floor and her eyes started
to roll back. Then, Ichalam let her go. She dropped
to the floor gasping for air as Gavi stepped closer to
the P'Narran .

"What do you want?"

"You're going to be my new apprentice." smiled Ichalam.

LJ managed to pull himself to his knees. He threw a
knife from the table at the Dark Lord and Ichalam sent
the boy once again flying across the room and smashing
against the wall with a sickening "thud."

Gavi screamed. "Don't hurt my brother. Please."

Daisy spoke finally, her voice raspy from the bruising
of her throat. "You don't have to take my son. I can
tell you where others are..."

She still struggled to catch her breath. Still on her knees,
she leaned forward to brace herself.

"You've seen the alternates on the station. I'll tell
you where to find the other boys - other Gavirosh's.
Just leave this one with me. Please."

Ichalam stepped closer to her and glared, "You will tell
me everything, where the child originates, his blood lines,
location where he was adopted from?"

"Yes, I'll tell you. " Daisy admitted, a look of surrender
on her face. "Take some other Gavirosh. Just leave this
one with me forever."

"Your plea annoys me." the Dark Lord sneered.
" I did not offer this to some woman, I offered
it to the boy. He will decide!"

Daisy held her son tightly. She could feel his heart
pounding. Gavi wet himself and started to cry. Then,
bioelectricity began to emanate from his hands - forcing
Daisy to jump back. She gasped, "Gavi?!"

The second collision with the wall had left LJ lying
unconscious on the floor. Daisy looked over and noticed
blood dripping from his mouth into a puddle around his
face. She scurried to LJ's side to change his position
and make sure the boy was breathing.

Cradling LJ's limp body in her arms, Daisy yelled to
Gavi, her voice cracking. "Tell him, Gavi."

Before Gavi could muster up the courage to speak, the
Dark Lord interrupted him, "Pathetic. The worm urinated
on himself. perhaps he isnt as interesting as I thought.
Your proposal is acceptable" he sneered.

Feeling sick to her stomach, Daisy scrambled to make
sure LJ's airway was clear before lowering him to the
floor. Gavirosh scurried to his brother's side, crying,
"Don't die, LJ." as Daisy said, "I'll need a comm padd
to organize the information you'll need."

Knowing full well that she was condemning other innocent
boys to be taken under the wing of this Dark Lord, she
quickly accessed and copied Gavi's records so that Ichalam
would know where to find alternate versions of Gavi in
multiple other universes.

"We have an agreement then? You can have them all.
But this one stays with me and you never come back?"

He took the padd and smiled sadistically "Oh, I never
claimed to never come back" he replied dissappearing
from the room.

Once he was gone, Daisy muttered, "I hate you. You
bastard. God, how I hate you."

Then, the door flew open and security personnel
came rushing into the room....

NRPG:

Taylor managed to help me a little with this - inspite of an injury to his finger.  His Gramma cought his index finger in a door and mangled it pretty badly.

Jamie - though I don't think we'll see the Dark Lord for a while - like maybe 2-3 missions - he may come back eventually.  It'll be a challenge for you - running the Security department on GATEWAY.  I'd say Sardra nees to meet Hunter and learn about P'Narrans.  LOL

Daisy and the boys will be in sickbay for a while....LOL

Ken - any chance Mowree would drop by to offer some comfort to LJ and Gavi?  Both boys were scared pretty badly.

Ran - looking forward to your next post! :)

Leigh - Do you want to JP?

Oh and just a reminder - Yes, Katrina is going to STONEHENGE but do not take her off your mailing lists because she still loves all of you and wants to observe what we're writing. :)

Jasmina said she was leaving the game entirely and to go ahead and take her off the list.  However, I'm shamelessly ignoring that.  *Snigger*    I'm hoping that maybe if GATEWAY is a little too fast for her - we might be able to convince her to come back and go to either the PATRIOT or the STONEHENGE.  She's a lovely girl and I don't want the FRPG to lose her.

Yes, I'm evil like that.  Oh, well.  :)
