Daisy walked Cochrane and his children to their shuttle, intending
to see them off. The timing was fortunate. As the shields
were lowered for their ship to leave, Daisy recognized Wangel
Erek's shuttle hovering.
Her ex-lover and her daughter were already on the approved list
for visitors to the private location. There was nothing for
Daisy to do but wave and smile as Wangel Erek was cleared for
a landing. A moment later, Erek opened the door and allowed
their daughter, Erika Wangel Byrne - to go running across the
platform into her mother's arms.
"Mommy!!!"
Daisy closed her eyes and breathed in deeply of
her daughter's familiar scent as Wangel Erek
approached. The former lovers had remained
very good friends for their daughter's sake. Still
holding their seven year old child, Daisy flashed him
a smile.
"Hi"
He nodded. "Hello."

Gavirosh was jealous of LJ. The skeleton crew that staffed the
private island were fawning all over Fiendfyre, LJ's three-headed
puppy. LJ's newfound conversational skills had everyone
fawning over *HIM* as well. Cade especially.
In Zuri's absence, the older man was like a step-father to Gavi.
Now, the younger teen felt invisible as Cade sat glued to every
witty comment coming from LJ's mouth. He didn't seem that
worried that Colonel Williams' magic had "hurt" LJ in anyway.
Simply put, now that LJ was talking normally, Cade seemed to
prefer LJ's company over Gavi's.
That hurt.
Burning sand made pools of liquid glass. Gavi positioned little
blasts of biolectricity to make small pools of liquid glass that would
be rapidly cooled by the green tide each time it sloshed against
the shore.
It was a uniquely Ornarian talent. Once he retrieved the cool
pieces of glass, he had enough control over his voltage and
Daisy had tought him enough about the nature of his own
electricity that he could make the most fantastic level of detail.
The boy who already felt ignored saw something up the hill
out of the corner of his eye. He turned, raised a hand to his
eyes to block some of the buttery Bajoran sun and squinted.
Almost instantly, he recognized his mother, Wangel Erek and
little Erika Wangel Byrne heading down the path from the
landing pad to the house where his family was staying. Thinking
about his little sister, Gavi smiled and muttered his pet name
for her.
"Snotface!"

Wangel Erek recognized Foster's obnoxious laugh immediately. Cade
sat in a chair next to a small couch where LJ held the unusual puppy.
The two of them were chatting away like the best of friends and Erek
gave them a polite smile.
"Hello, LJ."
The boy gave a strained, polite smile - only because he didn't want to upset
Daisy. Wangel Erek's devotion to his Bajoran religion made him little more
than an occasional "annoying visitor" in LJ's life.
Wangel Erek was a gentle soul and often found his patience strained by
Cade Foster's sadistic sense of humor. He gave Daisy's companion a
similiar "polite smile." and muttered, "Foster."
Cade just smirked as Erek turned to Daisy, "You didn't tell me you brought
your boyfriend. Perhaps you'd like me to take the kids back to my house
so the two of you can be alone. I could show LJ and Gavi the new temple
in the village near our school."
"I'm not her boyfriend." Cade interrupted teasingly, "I"m actually her
personal physician."
Erika launched herself at LJ and Fiendfyre. The older teen hugged his
adoptive little sister and offered to walk her down to the beach to see
Gavi - if only to get away from Wangel Erek.
As the kids disappeared, Wangel Erek walked into yet another of
Cade's "Sick jokes". Attempting some polite small talk, he smiled,
"I wasn't aware Daisy was ill."
"I find that hard to believe." Cade smirked. "You've known her for
how long now?"
Daisy scoffed,. "Shaddup." Then, she laughed and Wangel Erek gave her
that familiar "Look" that he usually gave when Foster was around. The
expression on his handsome Bajoran face always seemed to be asking,
"What do you see in this guy?"
Daisy shrugged it off and asked politely, "Want to stay for dinner?"
