Cade lounged on a blanket with an umbrella mounted in the sand to provide him a bit of
shade.    In his hands, a large and decadent cold beverage.  The fruity-flavored drink had
a little umbrella, lots of ice cubes and a bendy-straw.   Another one just like it sat next
to him - waiting for Gavirosh.  Cade was deliberately and gleefully celebrating their leisure
while Daisy put LJ through some very physical martial arts training.

Wearing sunglasses so that even his eyes were being pampered against the bright
Bajoran sun,  Cade greeted Gavi and Fiendfyre.  The Onarian boy held the pups' leash
while carrying a bowl of popcorn.   Wearing sunglasses of his own,  Gavi looked every bit
the obnoxious and lazy vacationer as Cade.  Foster handed him his drink as the boy sat
down and they shared the one bowl of popcorn while watching Daisy flip LJ over her
shoulder for atleast the fifth time.

The boy grunted and moaned as he picked himself up from the sand yet again.   Initially,
he was uncomfortable sparring with Daisy.  She had on this comfortable but disturbingly
snug half-shirt and shorts.  Everything was covered but - the way her exercise clothes
hugged her adult physique like a second skin was actually quite sexy.    It left LJ torn
between the usual "Squeamish" feelings of a teenage boy that "Mom" is not supposed
to be a "hottie" and a renewed "awkward awareness" that she was actually no blood
relation to him.

She stuck to her guns, though - that LJ needed to know how to defend himself.    It was
something she'd tried to get him started learning while they lived on the STONEHENGE.
He attended a couple classes lead by a security officer there but lost interest.   Still
talking only in lyrics during those days and fragile.   So, she waited.

Now that he was communicating,  she wanted to talk about his past and what he'd
endured before Jax brought him to stay with her.    LJ stammered and reverted back
to lyrical speech until Daisy offered him a compromise.    If she couldn't help him
talk through the sexual abuse he'd suffered,  then she would help him know how to
defend himself incase he was ever again cornered by someone larger and stronger.

Mother and son circled each other in the sand.  LJ moved in the fighting stance
Daisy had showed him.   The boy only stood 5'7" and weighed 130 pounds soaking
wet.  Shirtless and wearing only a pair of shorts similiar to Daisy's,  the bright
sunlight  highlighted his slight and boyish physique.  He tried and failed three times
to do the same throw on Daisy that she'd used on him and was getting angry.  Then,
finally - he succeeded.  He sent her over his shoulder and into the sand with a thud.
She laughed breathlessly and Cade and Gavi both applauded.

Scared he might have hurt her,  LJ ignored the applause and asked,  "You ok, Mum?"
She gave him a big smile.  "Are you kidding?  I'm thrilled.  Good job, son."

The boy narrowed his eyes at her skeptically,  "You were going easy on me, weren't you?"

Daisy blinked.  Then, she gave him a grin.  "Only a little.  You really are doing well."

LJ suddenly got an awkward look on his face and Daisy stood up to see what had
distracted him.  A monk from the temple was approaching.

She scrambled to her feet and dusted herself off,  "Is everything ok, sir?"

"The Vadek is requesting your presence at the temple. "

Daisy moaned,  "Is the media bothering you guys again?"

"No."  replied the monk.  "It's something else.  Please come."

LJ looked mildly curious.  "What's going on?"

Daisy gave him a  look and asked,  "Do you have anything you
want to tell me?"

LJ blinked and feined an innocent look.  "HUH?  What did  I do?"

Daisy groaned,  "Whatever my son has done, I apologize."

The monk waved his hand and assured her,  "It's not about
your son this time."

"THIS TIME?!"  LJ scoffed indignantly and confused.

Daisy groaned,  "Just stay here.  I'll go find out what's up."

"I wanna come."  LJ whined.   "If these idiots have been...."

"Watch yer mouth!"  Daisy interrupted him.  Then, she barked,
"Go for a swim.  Take Fiendfyre for a run.  I'll be back...."

"But, Mum!"  LJ whined.

For a woman standing barefoot on the beach in exercise
clothes,  she mustered all the command presence of a
Starfleet officer and a mother of three as she pointed towards
Cade and Gavirosh.  LJ could hear all three of Fiendfyre's heads
barking at him as Daisy said it again,  "Go."

"Fine." he muttered.   Gavi let go of Fiendfyre's leash and the
three headed pup ran eagerly to bridge the distance between
himself and LJ.    The teenager quickly dropped to his knees in
the sand to remove Fiendfyre's harness and leash so that he
and his Cerberus pup could run along the surf and play in the
green waves while Daisy left with the robe-wearing Bajoran
monk and headed towards the temple that happened to be
designated as the resting place for Bajor's "Orb of Time".

NRPG:  STEP ONE of the plan I discussed with Ran for bringing Daisy back to the
station.  :)

If you guys go back to the beginning of this "Vacation" for Daisy - it said from the start
that the Orb of Time was kept in the temple on this island.
