"Actually - we're talking about getting Xana naked ....."

"Why the discoloration!?" Daisy demanded.

Annoyed, she yanked a dermal regenerator from the instrument tray herself and began
trying to correct the few dark splotches left on the skin of her left knee before the Doctor
could explain.

The skin glowed a slight blue and remained unchanged. Daisy blinked, "What the?!"

"We're still picking up a level of temporal instability on a cellular level - as well as abnormally elevated neuropeptide levels in your brain, Commander. That's interfering
with some of the equipment and slowing down your healing. "

Daisy groaned and rolled her eyes. "Fantastic. Right. And, yeah....I know. The
neuropeptides could cause 'orb shadows' or halucinations. Fan-freaking-tastic."

The doctor continued patiently, "All the pieces of crystal have been removed and sent to
a science lab for analysis..."

"No, destroy them." Daisy interrupted, suddenly nervous.

"What?"

"Destroy them!" Daisy barked. "Immediately."

"Aye, Commander."

Daisy gulped, worrying for a second about how well they cleaned up the crimescene
when Jaxsper killed his stepfather. She didn't want to have to explain pieces of crystal
from her leg 'today' matching on a geological level to shards that were embedded in
Rick's skull 15 years ago.

"On a cellular level, the reknitted bones are still 10% softer than normal but will
harden more completely after the temporal reading has subsided. The Bajoran
records of post-Orb experience medical scans indicate that happens in an average of
24-48 hours. "

"Fine." Daisy muttered, looking disappointed. She knew she couldn't take back
command at a time like this - not injured. The Dominion would see her as "weak"
and openly mock her as incapable - likely increasing their attacks.

"Get me a padd and the medical files of the coma patients, then."

"Commander?"

Daisy groaned. "If I have to sit here - I have to sit here. But, I refuse to sit here
and do nothing."

"Aye, Commander."

Xana stood there - her mouth hanging open. Cade stood by Daisy's biobed.
She was awake and sitting up, her knee immobilized by a snug brace. The two
doctors were shooting half - finished sentences back and forth in that sort of
 "short-hand" that only doctors know.

"The neuro-amniotic fluid would amplify the synaptic transfer system...."
The older man beamed.

"Increasing the odds of achieving the shared dream state but
controlled by our own technology ...." Daisy nodded.

Wrapped around Xana's leg, Dahlia muttered, "I'm bored."

Xana chuckled weakly, "And I'm confused."

Daisy chuckled. "The brain generates a quantifiable electric field. It has
been possited that it is possible to synchronize the fields of two distinct
minds - even if they aren't telepathic - allowing the sharing of information
across the unconscious state like a string between two tin cans."

"Isn't that - you know - completely insane?" LJ challenged, handing
Daisy a glass of water.

"You're saying someone could talk to Crichton in his coma and he can tell us
something that may give us insight into the artifacts?" Xana asked, smiling.

"If this works...." Cade began "we could access Crichton's memories.
We just need to strip someone naked, give them a lot of drugs, put some
sensor patches on their skull and drop them into a tank of neuro-amniotic
compounds."

"Oh, I'll do it." LJ offered fearlessly.

"No, you won't." Daisy smirked, giving her son a look of warning.

"Would it be dangerous?" Xana asked, looking awkwardly down at Dahlia.
She wanted to help - but didn't want to put Dahlia at risk of being left an
orphan.

"We would use Ketamine, Neurontin, Lysergic acid diethyamide" Cade
began....

"LSD?" the teenager interrupted. "I read about that in history lessons....it's
supposed to be amazing! Let me do it!"

"Actually - we're talking about getting Xana naked and having the LSD."
Cade reminded him.

LJ suddenly went quiet. Then, he smirked, "You should atleast let me help.
I worked in sickbay with you before - getting you whatever you needed. You
said I did great. Really - if Xana is doing this - I should be there to help."

Daisy and Xana both scoffed and rolled their eyes, laughing awkwardly. Then,
Daisy chided him, "I think maybe you should go see how your brother and
sister are doing with Erek and help other kids in the shelter areas
while we have a meeting with Dr. Poe...."

LJ's face fell and he gave Daisy a dirty look. "You're no fun."

"And you still haven't assured me this is 'safe'...." Xana chided them.

NRPG: Shamelessly inspired by the recent premiere of "FRINGE" on FOX.

Sarah, Shawn and Ran - I want to ask you guys a few questions before I can go any further with this idea. If you get a chance to go on MSN - I'd appreciate it.

Ran, Taylor, Justin...you guys all do battles better than I do.  :)  Have fun with that.

I think we can just assume that Cochrane Stephens and his children go back to
Earth after this battle is done.  We don't need to keep them as NPC's or involve
them any further in the mission.
