"Why would the Dominion have a Federation Ambassador?"
"The station's sensors aren't faulty," Crichton said, before draining his tone of its defensiveness. "She went over to the lead vessel to negotiate terms with the Vorta leading the attack."

"We have to get her back," Kor said. "Did you get a trajectory on the fleeing Dominion ships?"
"There's no time to worry about that now," the lead soldier, Maverick, said impatiently. "You people are in no condition to mount some kind of half-assed rescue attempt."
"He's right," Yao cut in. "We don't even know how badly GATEWAY is damaged yet." Kor stared daggers at Maverick, but eventually sighed and nodded.
"Okay," she said. "You're right."
"If the station isn't secure," Maverick said, moving to a working terminal and calling up a schematic of the station, "then we'll have to do a sweep, deck by deck, to make sure we've gotten all the Jem'Hadar. What's your casualty situation?"
"If the rest of the station looks the same as this room," Crichton said, looking around, "I'd say it's pretty bad."
"Alright," Maverick nodded. "PATRIOT, this is Colonel Maverick. Operations is secure, but apparently some Jem'Hadar made it onto the station before the Dominion bugged out, so we're going to have to sweep the station to clean them all out. Medical teams are needed ASAP- heavy casualties expected."
[[We read you, Colonel. Medical teams are being prepped and will arrive shortly. PATRIOT out.]]
"You're going to have to designate a safe zone for them to treat the wounded," Lt. Kor said, moving to stand next to Maverick at the terminal. "I can have my security teams coordinate with your men to clear the Operations Module. That will be our base of operations until the rest of GATEWAY is secure."
"No deal," Maverick said.
"I beg your pardon?"
"As of right now, you're all still listed as a potential threat," Maverick said, narrowing his eyes at Kor. "As I understand, GATEWAY Station no longer considers itself a part of the Federation. Is that true?"
"It's complicated," Crichton interjected.
"What the hell is *that* supposed to mean?"
"Whatever it means, Colonel, I'm sure you'll agree that the arrival of Federation reinforcements has changed the situation considerably," Kor frowned at Maverick. "Believe me, we're glad to see you, but frankly I think we have better things to do right now than have a discussion about politics. And since GATEWAY station is my home, I'm afraid there's nothing you can say or do that's going to keep me from making sure its safe."
"Yeah, *and* we want hazard pay!" Crichton joined in. Maverick shot him a glance, then returned his gaze to Kor. It was clear that she wasn't going to budge.
"Alright," he sighed. "We do it your way. We'll coordinate a sweep of the station with your remaining security forces."
"Thank you, Colonel," Kor said.

NRPG: A little short, but I just thought people might be confused as to where to go from here, so I thought I'd give them a few ideas... GATEWAY's banged up really badly, and there are heavy casualties- we'll need Engineering teams and Medical teams by the truckload. Plus, there's still the matter of cleaning up the rest of the Jem'Hadar who are still aboard. Not to mention the fact that Captain Kenta will probably want an explanation as to what's been going on aboard GATEWAY...
