"Hidden Secrets"
(Continued from Sarah's: "Don't Cry For Me NOCTURIA")
#####################
Location: NOCTURIA : Alcedo Citadel
Stardate: 2.80112.1429
Scene: Rharn's Childhood Bed Chamber
Rharn Alcedo stood quietly before the bronze mirror in
heris old bed chamber. The small alcove that was
heris special part of the Alcedo citadel had not been
touched in the years since s/he had left home.
"I thought I would find you here." The voice was soft
and lilting.
"There is a riot I heard?"
"Mya has managed to move them on, for now."
"Right." Rharn nodded, not very reassured, and
continued to look at heris reflection. "Is change a
good thing?"
"That depends little one, on what that change is..."
[[Captain?]] Cade's soft drawl broke into the
conversation.
"Excuse me guardian." Rharn inclined heris head
slightly and tapped the Badge that gleamed against the
crimson of her uniform jacket. "Doctor Cade what can
I do for you?"
[[Have you heard from blue skinned Klingon recently?]]
"No he was working in the Hatchery..."
[[Only he isn't there now and I can't get hold of him
over the COMM.]]
"Have Pol'Gra search for his biosigns from the Ship.
I will start a search for him down here."
[[Will do Mon Capitan.]]
"Guardian?" Rharn looked at the slightly older
Nocturian.
"We will find this blue skinned Klingon?" The older
Alcedo assured heris younger clan mate. "He will not
have gone far."
"Far enough." Rharn followed after the crimson
skinned Alien, "Izzy?" S/he yelled as s/he stepped
back through into the communal area. "We need more
Security Officers, get hold of Matthew. We have to
take a side trip."
Rharn immediately became more assertive as s/he
slipped back into Captain mode. "Peter we need to
round up everyone. Doctor Aerdan has disappeared."
Izzy meanwhile was standing in the corner of the room,
talking away into her COMM Badge.
"Izzy get Bast sent down." Rharn shouted over heris
shoulder.
Meanwhile Alcedos seemed to appear from every nook and
cranny. "We will search around the city child." The
more masculine Nocturian stepped forward. "Will you
be prepared to go to the Bogozh and search there?"
Rharn nodded, "You want me out of the way?"
The two guardians stepped forward, each placed a hand
on one of Rharn's shoulders, "We are not trying to
hide you, nor are the Alcedos ashamed of you child.
Indeed we are proud of you. You have progressed
beyond our hopes and aspirations. Put you are the
only Alcedo to go there and come back unharmed."
"Flattery will get you everywhere Guardians."
"Be careful child." The more feminine Guardian leant
forward and gently brushed heris lips against Rharn's.
"Greetings Bast." The guardian inclined heris head
slightly, //We go now.//
And as abruptly as they had appeared the Alcedo clan
disappeared back into the ceilings and walls.
Rharn looked at Phia, Izzy, Peter and smiled grimly.
"We need to round up Kiros if possible; we'll need
another engineer with us when we hit the Bogozh."

Scene: Bogozh
The wasteland lay before them. The five officers
stood over looking the desolate space. Bast snorted
softly near Rharn's ear, and absent mindedly the
Nocturian rubbed heris smaller friend's ear.
"Who would live here?"
"The Pleo clan have a holding somewhere in the middle
of this." Rharn replied softly to Peter. "And I am
guessing that Aerdan will be in the middle of it all."
Heris black eyes blinked slightly and suddenly Rharn
shook heriself back from the memories that threatened
to claim herim. "Shall we move on?"
All five officers had removed their usual Starfleet
jackets and were wearing loose dark tunics that
covered all of their arms and almost reached the
ground, a long piece of material hung down each of
their backs.
"You have all practiced making use of the Nameck?"
Rharn asked.
"Yes, the guardians showed us several times how to
protect our faces from the dust storms." Peter
assured his CO. "None of us have any problems."
"Although mine gets twisted, seems to have a life of
it's own." Izzy complained slightly.
Rharn grinned, "It comes with practice little one, you
will learn and quickly if necessary."
Phia's hazel eyes were trying to pierce the gloom.
"Is it me or is it slightly brighter out here?" The
Bolian/Vulan asked.
"You're eyes are probably getting used to the gloom."
Kiros offered. "Though it would appear that out here
the rocks glow more." He pulled out a tricorder and
started to scan the local geology.
Bast launched himself down from Rharn's shoulder and
onto the ground the small lizardlike rodent sniffing
the ground. He turned and glanced once at Rharn and
then started walking.
"I take it Bast wants us to follow him?" Peter asked.
Rharn shook heris head again, "Yes. I am sorry,
memories." Smiling s/he lifted heris backpack and
headed after the small Jarax. "Bast will be able to
track them."
"Then Aerdan definately came this way?" Izzy asked.
"It would appear so." Rharn looked grim, "The Pleo
clan will regret the day they interferred with the
Alcedo and STONEHENGE clans."
Izzy dropped slightly to the rear whilst Peter stalked
towards the front of the small group. Both held
phasers casually in their hands. Phia moved to walk
besides Rharn.
"You have started to look on the crew as a clan?"
"We live, serve and in cases die together is that not
a clan?" Rharn asked simply.
"Your perceptions have changed considerably from those
of the rest of your race Rharn." Phia pointed out.
"I moved on they have not." Rharn considered,
"Perhaps it was a mistake that I left, but left I did
and I will have to learn to live with that will not
I?"
"Yes." Phia chewed her bottom lip for a few minutes,
"Do you consider everyone on the STONEHENGE as part of
the clan?"
"Are they not?" Rharn turned, "Kiros I know that the
rocks are interesting but you must stay with us."
Kiros Karn nodded, "Sorry, these rocks do not conform
to any of the geology around the main settlement, in
fact there is a lot of silicates in them."
"There is?" Rharn shrugged, "Perhaps there will be
time later on for you to consider the mechanics behind
it."
Peter called over his shoulder, "Grab a small sample,
we'll take a closer look at it over lunch break."
The young cadet nodded and carefully picked up a loose
bit of rock from the ground. No-one in the strange
group noticed that the ground beneath the rock glowed
slightly for a few moments, nor that the glow had an
oddly structured, almost manufactured, look about it.

Scene: Dungeon
Aerdan woke up slowly, his head was pounding and his
mouth felt like something had crawled inside and died.
"You are awake?" The voice was hoarse, as if it had
not been used for many days.
"I think so." The Andorian Doctor answered and tried
to sit up.
A pale green arm wrapped itself around the blue
skinned Doctor and assisted him to sit up. "You must
take it easy. They have used a form of A'anvette on
you."
"I did not dream this time." Aerdan rubbed his head.
"Then you must have built up some form of immunity."
The other occupant of the cell finally decided. "That
or they did not wish to allow you to dream."
"Either way I feel like death warmed up." Aerdan's
antenna curled down inside his white hair.
"Here, I do not know if you can drink our water." The
green skinned Nocturian offered his co-habitor a small
glass. "But it is all that there is."
"I can drink the water." Aerdan carefully lifted the
glass to his mouth.
"Just sip it for now." There was a pause, "How did
you get here, it is obvious you are not Nocturian?"
"I came here on a ship. I was asked by the eldest one
to investigate the deaths of the hatchlings." Aerdan
admitted and took another sip of the water, "But was
assaulted by Zipa Pleo. Presumably hiser brought me
here."
"Indeed. They have brought you to the Bogozh." The
other figure informed the Starfleet Doctor. "I
believe they intend to interrogate you later, but they
wish you to recover your strength first."
Aerdan nodded once, "I am Aerdan Jos and Chief Medical
Officer of the USS STONEHENGE."
"I am T'nnent Pleo." There was another pause, "The
STONEHENGE? You are from Starfleet?"
"Yes." The Bolian Doctor nodded, and then wished he
hadn't as it felt as if the top of his head was coming
off. "How do you know about Starfleet?"
"I was one of two Nocturians that were sent out to the
stars." T'nnent paused, "Unfortunately for me I was
not as eager to be out there as my companion."
"Do you know Rharn Alcedo?" Aerdan asked.
"Rharn?" An image of red skin and blue hair appeared
in T'nnent's mind, "Yes I know Rharn. And so do you
for you would not know that name if you had never met
her."
"Rharn is my Captain and if I know anything about
heris temper s/he will be tearing this planet apart
right now."
"Only if she is made aware of your disappearance."
T'nnent tried to hide his excitement, "Would she?"
"It is possible." Aerdan admitted, "I was supposed to
check in on the ship and missed my deadline."
"Then we must trust that she has been made aware of
your disappearence but I only hope that they have not
chosen her to come and find you."
"Why?" Aerdan lifted his head slightly more slowly
this time.
"The Bogozh has changed, the Pleo clan have been
playing with nature. Strange they will alter the
things that live out here but not allow nature to
alter us."
"Is that why you refer to the Captain as she?" Aerdan
asked softly his ice blue eyes holding T'nnent's dark
ones.
"Yes she is female and I am her male counterpart."
T'nnent lifted a finger to his lips, "They are coming,
pretend to still be unconscious, I will try and stall
them."
Aerdan took a deep breath, "Then we have two things to
worry about because if Rharn is looking for me then
they are not trying to stop that meteor...."
T'nnent blinked just once, "You must rest then and we
shall see what can be done." He whispered and pointed
at the bed.
Turning he walked towards the door which was slowly
opening.
"The off worlder is still unconscious." He spoke
softly.
"Then we shall have our sport with you T'nnent." With
that a darker green hand grabbed T'nnent's soft green
skin, "Afer all it has been several days since Zipa
had any fun....."
With that the door slammed shut behind the two
Nocturians. Aerdan lifted his head from the pillow
and swore under his breath.
The Andoran's hearing picked up a soft mewling noise.
Carefully the Doctor moved around the room. He yelped
softly when his legs came into contact with the hard
edge of another cot.
Straining to pierce the almost total blackness of the
dungeon. Aerdan Jos noticed a tiny small ball curled
up almost hidden under the covers. Gently he reached
out a blue finger and stroked the soft ball. "What
are you?"
//I am a Jarax. I am Fest. They will kill him.//
The small creature lifted her head. Large pale orange
eyes glowed in the dim light, huge ears dominated the
small head. //They will kill him..//
"Not if we can help him they won't." Aerdan tried to
assure the small creature. "But first we must have a
plan."

NRPG: Sorry it kind of jumps a bit but anyone, here
we go. I wasn't sure how to address Justin leaving
and so have left us picking up Kiros as vague as
possible. Hopefully there is scope for back posting
if you guys wish if not I hope there is plenty for us
to be getting on with. ;-)
Any questions let me know.
