"He should have read the handbook"

predicament before killing them.")

Aerdan stooped by the nocturine, his eyes casting over the still sleeping
male with a studied gaze, alone all he could hear was the raggedy breathing
the doctor wished briefly for a medkit and when that didn't happen started
looking around the room.
The bleeding from his head had finally stopped thanks to a makeshift bandage
and blue hands briefly flittered to his head to once more confirm that
everything was as it should be.
His eyes once more moved to the green form of T'nnent eyes still closed
finally herim spoke. "I appreciate your concern Aerdan; but really you
staring at me while I sleep is a little off putting."
The Andorian finally managed a smile, it was brief and a little pained but
it was the first signs of amusement either man had managed to show since
they had met. His companion opened one eye briefly and laughed, a sound
which quickly turned into a cough. The doctor winced and the smile slipped
from his face. "How are you feeling now?" he asked.
"Sore." The other man admitted glumly, anything else he may have wanted to
say was cut off as the door opened.
"On your feet." The guard growled, and then without waiting for either man
to respond three men stepped in, between them they pulled both the
starfleeter and their clan mate to their feet. T'nnent gasped in pain and
indicated for Aerdan to not struggle.
"Zipo want's you." One of them snarled in glee as the two were dragged from
the prison, out of their cell more Pleo's joined the guards and Aerdan soon
found himself in the middle of a mass of green, T'nnent almost disappeared
from sight, but only almost. The doctor focused on his prison companion and
followed behind in silence.
The guards, almost upset by the lack of resistance called the two names as
they moved through a rabbit warren of corridors. Speaking in both standard
and Noturian the guards hissed their disgust at the two men. **They're
trying to get you to fight.** Aerdan told himself in realisation and then
followed T'nnent's example by staying stoic and silence.
They were dragged into what could only be a command centre, view screens
surrounded Zipo Pleo as he stood staring at darkened corridors. "I thought
you might like to see your friends die." He declared.
T'nnents breath came out in a hiss as he saw Rharn. Aerdan's own eyes took
in Phia, Izshlana couldn't be seen, they watched the brief fight the
Alterian appeared and finished off the third attacker.
"What was that?" Zipo demanded his eyes flickering around to another screen,
"no matter, the team were split in two."

("The evil overlord list number 65: If I must have computer systems with
publically available terminals, the maps they display of my complex will
have a room clearly marked as the Main Control Room. That room will be the
Execution Chamber. The actual main control room will be marked as Sewage
Overflow Containment")

In the back of the room Kiros wrapped his fingers around his phaser, and
drew himself to his feet.
**Only two** Kiros told himself, finally sure of himself Cadet Karn aimed at
the elder Nocturian and quietly depressed the trigger on the phaser. The
older Nocturine hit the ground as the younger, and the one holding Peter
span.
The pale green Pleo yelled his anger and began moving towards the young
Trill, he brought his phaser around to aim at the oncoming attacker, Peter
struggled and arrived at his firearm, both men pointed, two bolts of energy
hit the other man at the same time, vapourising him in the crossfire.
"Let's go." The XO yelled when he was sure the only people standing were now
the security officers.
"One second." Kiros turned and his hands passed over the console finding
what he was looking for he nodded briefly and then looked up. "There's
another way around." The engineer turned and almost jogged towards the door
the NOCTURIAN's had come through.
Peter cast one last lingering look at the still closed door and then turned
and followed the newest member of the senior staff.

I also get his dog, monkey, ferret, or whatever sickeningly cute little
animal capable of untying ropes and filching keys happens to follow him

Izzie looked over at them both. Her voice was dry and weary. "I hate
leaving people behind."
Rharn nodded the once, "they'll catch us up," she promised and then turned
on her heel and began to move off.
Izshlana made no comment as she simply faded into the darkness preparing
herself for anymore trouble she moved so silently that after a moment Phia
had lost all track of her friend.
The counselor stepped into stride with her CO. "Do you know where Izzy is?"
she asked as quietly as possible.
"I can hear her." Rharn confirmed, her eyes fixed on Bast and Fest as they
hurried away in front of her, the two little mouse like creatures chattering
to one another in high pitched excited voices.
A smile flickered across Rharn's face as she listened to them.
"More ahead." The emotionless tone echoed from next to Phia who jumped a
little.
Izshlana prepared this time handled the butt of her phaser, she drew it in
silence and crept forwards, phaser fire lit the man made corridors in
flashes as the small woman seemed to take the would be ambushers by
surprise.
For once in her life Izzie knew the feeling of being apart from her
emotions, she kept them there in the back of her thoughts as she now moved
on ahead the two critters scurrying to keep up with her, one of them ran on
ahead the other launched at her body and scurried up onto her shoulders.
Bast buried his claws into her shoulder and Izzy stood still, waiting for
the voices to come closer.
As she waited she considered the idea of being emotionless, surviving only
for the fight and the objective. "Tevant would be proud." She whispered to
herself as she turned the corner.
Hurrying to keep up Rharn and Phia heard once more the sounds of phasers
being discharged and grunts as Nocturians were stunned for getting in the
way.
"On the plus side." Phia began slightly disconcerted at being the one
looking for a positive. "We're moving incredibly quickly."

NRPG: I would have carried on but then I realised I wasn't actually taking
this anywhere I was just entertaining myself using the evil overlord list.
Anyway it amused me on a Monday morning, hope it gives you all a smile. I'll
try and post properly in a few days.
