"If tomorrow never comes" (Cont'd from "Blue Klingon Calls the Cheerleader") Location: USS STONEHENGE Scene: Holodeck 2 Stardate: 2.70211.1214 "Don't think I have forgotten about you, Ensign. I haven't." Izshlana turned unsuccessfully hiding a quilty look and then shrugged her shoulders. "I don't really have some huge outpouring of emotions." She said softly. "Really, Aerdans was much better." Phia sighed and shook her head, "that in itself proves something is wrong with you." Her friend stepped away from the doctor giving him time to think about what he had said and compose himself. "you're usually in the middle of everything, and instead you're locking yourself away, you didn't go to the memorial service." "And you haven't visited your mum since we got back." Aerdan added reverting to his soft lisping voice. Izzie glared at him and muttered, "Traitor." Phia looked from one to the other and finally her eyes came to rest on her friend, "why not?" The slender woman shrugged and elicited a sigh from the counselor. "Could I suggest you just tell her so we can leave?" the doctor asked his antenna quivering as he watched the two women. Izshlana sighed she folded her arms across her chest and then shrugged, "I don't know what to say." "You said you felt numb." Phia pointed out, "you're looking for physical comfort because you don't have the emotional comfort." Izzie gave an almost unperceivable nod. "Well then you need to explore the emotions around that." The counselor suggested. "why didn't you go to the memorial service?" The small woman shrugged another small movement while the doctor and the counselor watched her turn inwards, almost as if she was trying to hide from them. "OK, have you watched his message to you?" She shook her head remaining silent. Phia stifled a groan of frustration and Aerdan finally spoke up. "Phia, you can't force her to talk if she doesn't want to." The blue Vulcan shook her head and then glared at the Alterian. "usually I have to force you to shut up." "Well then you should appreciate the silence," Izzy said softly. Finally the taller woman relented. "Fine, you can go, but you're to report to the counseling department this time tomorrow." She turned on Aerdan, "and you can report an hour later." The doctor sighed but after a moment nodded. "Fine." He said softly. Phia looked at Izzy who shrugged her shoulders and then eventually said, "Computer unlock the holodeck." The doors opened and both patients barreled out, after a second Phia followed them. =[/\]= Location: E4 Scene: Beach Izshlana sat cross legged on the beach her eyes on a small fire she'd built, the Alterians were a race of pyromaniacs. Their celebration of fire was connected with life and death, it was probably to do with being from a water based planet. Still the fire comforted her. In her hand was the shiny black disc Xav'ion had given her earlier, she flicked it over and between her fingers while she watched the flames dance. After a moment she set it on the ground and activated it. A small holographic representation of Landwyn appeared, it was quiet for a moment and then he began a monologue. "I've never understood the need to send messages from beyond the grave until now." He began. "I always was of the belief that you said what needed to be said long before you died. If you weren't honest in life then what was the point of leaving a lasting reminder of that?" "but then I met you. It turns out that if I die tomorrow there are things I want you to know." "I love you, more than anything, my life didn't even start till I met you. I know you too well Izzie, so you'd best know that this isn't your fault. That you're in no way responsible for my fate, whatever it might be so please don't feel guilty" "and I'm sorry, sorry that I've left you alone again. You should have someone there to love you, and care for you and occasionally remind you to eat something other than chocolate and cookies." The holographic Landwyn shook his head, "I'm sorry, please don't ever forget that you were loved more than anything, for who you are and what you can do." He finished speaking, the image rotating silently on his plinth. Izzie breathed in raggedly as though she'd been holding her breath while she'd been listening. "Idiot." She whispered between clenched teeth, "idiot man." She repeated and then wiped her hand across her face. Hefting the plinth she looked at the fire and then with more control than she felt she put the holographic image back onto the sand. She had no body to give to the heavens, no belongings to burn in it's place. With forced calm she reached into her boot and pulled the short knife she kept there and then reaching behind she cut her hair above the bobble with one smooth move she threw her ponytail into the fire and sat in silence as she watched it burn. =[/\]= Scene: Aerdans quarters TI: After he spoke to Kate Aerdan called come when the door chimed he looked up to see a tear stained Izshlana step into his quarters. He stood up when he saw her sheared hair. "You're good with hair right?" The doctor opened his mouth and shut it. "Well I can plait it." "I'm not sure I have enough left to plait," she muttered. ** NRPG: Finally the hostage situation is over ;) and I got us all back to E4 Peter hope I didn't interfere. Jamie/Sarah Hope you like! Aaron, I've avoided Kiros up until now so you don't have a tonne to catch up on, if you want a tag or a hand then let me know.
