"Furtive Movements" (Cont'd from "Spiderwebs") Location: Unknown Scene: Unknown Stardate: 2.80518.1404 Katlina Gorman checked her security measures once more and then when she was finally sure she was untraceable pressed a button. "Jeff, hey, it's me." She managed a small smile and hoped that she was in enough shadow that he couldn't see the bags under her eyes or just how pale she was looking. "I'm not sure if anyone will be in touch with you, I'm officially AWOL. I left the MAC with, something, the less you know the better." She paused and stretched. "The kids are with dad, they're safe but if you want them with you…well I think they would like that. So get in touch. Dad has orders if Starfleet get too tough on the kids he's to disappear with them." She leaned forwards and kissed the monitor sadly. "I love you, and I love the kids. But I have to do this. I'll be in touch when I can." She closed the comm. Link and leaned back in her chair. As she did a door opened behind her and a small girl stepped out clutching a teddy. "Why did we leave El'hron and the babies behind?" Kat looked up and pulled the eight year old girl onto her knee she put her cheek against her forehead. "Well they're going to spend some time with their dad for a bit." Katlina Gorman lied easily and then smiled at the founder. "Are you ready to go we need to leave now." "I didn't unpack." The little girl admitted as she rose off Kat's knee, "Where are we going?" "To find a friend." Kat answered, "but first we need transport." =[/\]= Location: CENTURY class vessel Scene: corridors -> Jeffries tubes Izzy and Urika moved slowly together, partly because the eVA suit she was using wasn't made for a humanoid with a prehensile tail which made it cramped and difficult to move and partly because Urika had her eyes glued to her tricorder. "Wait." Urika finally spoke and paused midstep. "Where are we?" "A CENTURY class ship hanging in front of a black hole." "Thank you." The Trill replied sarcastically. "I meant more locally, what corridor where?" "Not a clue." Izzy paused and found a console on the wall, wiping away some dust she stared at it for a minute. "Nope, no 'you are here' sign" "I've got lifesigns." Urika admitted, "Coming down this corridor." "And you were worried about where we were why?" The trill turned her head looking at Izshlana in amazement, "we're arguing semantics?" Izzy grinned and grabbed the trill's arm as she found what she was looking for. She darted through a half open door. "Can you get the closing mechanism to work?" "We'll be trapped." Urika answered. "It's a Starfleet vessel, there's always an access panel to jeffries tubes somewhere." Izzy answered back. The scientist eventually turned and worked on the panel as a clunking noise announced the approaching steps. "Not humanoid." Izzy whispered over her shoulder. "It sounds more like four feet." Her eyes and phaser were trained on the door as two tusky creatures appeared, they stopped and sniffed the air, their eyes turning to the door as they hissed shut. Urika and Izzy looked at each other. "You saw them right?" Lieutenant Vort asked the older woman who nodded. "Ever seen anything like them?" This time the Trill shook her head. "Nothing." She answered softy. A bang echoed around the room and Izzy had time to jump back as a tusk speared the door. "Damn." She turned around and found the access panel she was looking for, it only took a minute before they were through and crawling. "Did I mention I hate Jeffries tubes?" Urika's voice came from somewhere close to her feet. Izzy smiled slightly "Everyone hates Jeffries tubes." She replied. "Just keep moving, we just need to get to the docking hatch by the bridge." "Right." Urika muttered. Izshlana crawled forwards a bit further then stopped as she crawled into something sticky, she sat back on her haunches and inspected the fingers of her glove. "Eew." She muttered quietly. Urika groaned. "Eew? What's Eew?" "Spider webs," "Spiders in space?" urika paused, "izzy can we get out of these tubes." "Next hatchway." Izzy promised as she carefully moved the webs out of the way with her gloved hand and carefully started moving forwards. *** NRPG: Sorry it's not very long and not all mission related. Margie gave me permission to start to bring a friend home. Margie: Not sure if it'll work but maybe the spider webs can be a way to do what we discussed? Ragy: Hope you still read my posts.
