"Pain" (Contd from "Customs") Location: USS STONEHENGE Scene: Sickbay Stardate: 2.80701.2225 Aerdan walked back into Sickbay to cast an eye around the progress his staff were making and to find him eye to eye with the blue/green eyes of the newest addition to sickbay. Whether the CMO liked it or not the Atleavkith prince seemed to have taken up residence in sickbay. Still from what the doctor had seen he was doing the basic jobs of fetching and carrying for the nurses without a single grumble. "What about Izshlana?" He questioned the doctor, eyes and face carefully devoid of emotion. Aerdan swallowed his antenna dipping into the clump of white hair momentarily. "She's on her own, my priority is this ships crew and if my plans going to work we need to act fast." He hoped his soft lisping voice didn't betray any emotion but wasn't sure it worked. Xordin's eyes hardened imperceptibly other than that he didn't move as he matched Aerdan's tone for softness. "You don't mean that, she counts you as a friend, you fixed her hair." Surprise widened Aerdan's eyes. "She told you that?" "She talks when she's nervous." Xordin answered a slight smile coming to his face and then quickly disappearing. "What if this attack hurts her, what if whatever has her kills her to stop us. What if…" "What if we wait and lose all of the crew to this mutation." Aerdan snapped back, he paused and shook his head, "Maybe the attack will help her get back, maybe we'll give her a push." The two men stared at one another and Xordin wordlessly backed down. "Can I help you here?" Aerdan nodded the once, "help to monitor the telepaths, the same as you have been, we may also need you to help to administer the drugs to those who are mutating." Xordin nodded and then cast a glance around sickbay until he found the nurse he had been helping so far today, he turned slightly and headed towards her. Stopping he looked back at the doctor. "What if we do get Izzy back?" He questioned thoughtfully. "She was the first on the STONE to begin to mutate." Aerdan nodded, "The same course of drugs should be able to reverse her own mutations." =[/\]= Location: Unknown Izshlana closed her eyes giggling to herself, she had no idea what was so funny but something was tickling her, and she could sense beings around her communicating with little prods of her emotions. Her thoughts were in the here and now, with these feelings of pleasure she'd never known before. However Izshlana was not naturally a solo creature, she came from a race who lived in clans and moved on to joining Starfleet, having people around her was part of her way of being. Her thoughts almost couldn't do anything other than stretch towards those she thought of a being members of her clan and so her memories rose to the surface of her conscious mind, she blinked at thoughts of Landwyn and the pain of loss threatened to overwhelm her. Her own mind pushed by that of the hive mind forced her away from the memories of the man she had lost and tried to find happier thoughts, a part of her missed her friends, she cried out for Phia, although her memories of Xordin were more mixed she longed for him with a pain of loss she hadn't realised she felt. The hive brain wheeled in pain, and the creatures it controlled let out a shout of agony, Izshlana screamed as the pain of a race of creatures racked through her body. =[/\]= Scene: Sickbay TI: Meanwhile Aerdan leaned over Peter and checked the device attached to his forehead. "this will stimulate your telepathic ability, it should help to keep you in contact with the other telepaths and help you to focus your strength to force them away from the vessel. Peter nodded wearily and took a deep breath as Aerdan gave him an encouraging smile and then turned the device on. He looked around at Rharn and gave her a nod. = **Stonehenge Crew** Peter cast his mind out and called to those he could sense. **We are being invaded. A force has come to take over our vessel with a view to claiming our galaxy for it's own. We can stop it. Join with me to force these creatures from our vessel** A few minds gathered up to him, acknowledged him and agreed to help however, most seemed wrapped up in their own happy places. **Your families will suffer, your wives your children, all will be changed for ever as they attempt to change our universe. Warped into creatures you will never recognise, their humanity whipped away from them,** Peter waited feeling bad for forcing this onto them but he was aware this may be the only way. A few more came to him and he acknowledged them and then for his last attempt. "Crew of the STONEHENGE, this is your duty." It was by no means an army that was by his side but it was a start, more might come to him once the fight began. He took a deep breath and focused his thoughts issuing instructions to those who could hear him, and then they began the fight. =[/\]= Scene: Unknown -> Sickbay Izshlana screamed in pain as minds locked into battle with the hive mind, it thrashed forcing its own pain out and into those it controlled. Slowly more minds joined against the hive. Izzy did what she could bellowing her anger at the hive mind and fighting it away from her and the ship. The pain finally stopped. Izshlana Vort flashed her eyes open as footsteps pounded towards her, she found herself picked up and wrapped in a blanket as she shivered in pain. A calm voice whispered to her that it would be OK and she looked up into Xordin's sparkling blue-green eyes. She sighed and then pulled away from him wrapping the blanket around her bare chest and then looked up blinking. "What's happening?" ********** NRPG: Done at last!
